5.1. Software Specific FAQ's
Q: What are the minimum operating requirements?
A: The minimum operating requirements for TrendReader Express are:
Personal computer with 486 processor or higher.
10MB of hard drive space.
3.5" floppy drive (CD drive preferred).
16MB of RAM.
Windows 3.1 running in enhanced mode, 95, 98, Me, NT or Windows 2000.
Mouse (recommended).
Serial port.
Q: What if I don't have a computer that reads CD format?
A: Optional 3.5" diskettes are available. Please call ACR Systems.
Q: Can I communicate with other ACR data loggers (SmartReader/Plus, SmartButton, PowerWatch, etc) with
TrendReader Express?
A: No. In its current form, it can only communicate with ACR JR. and Nautilus loggers.
Q: What type of warranty do I have with my new software?
A: One year. Please refer to Warranty section.
Q: Can I network a series of data loggers using TrendReader Express?
A: No. TrendReader Standard along with SmartReader and SmartReader Plus lines are the only systems that are
currently network capable.
Q: Does TrendReader Express operate using operating systems such as Macintosh, Unix or Sun MicroSystems?
A: No.
Q: Can I communicate with my logger via the internet?
A: No.
